Day Care

Our Approach

Our care staff are trained to provide individualised care and support in a way that ensures each day guest feels comfortable, valued and supported. We focus on maintaining dignity and independence while providing the assistance needed.

A typical day at Ridgegate Home might include arriving in the morning for tea and conversation, participating in gentle exercise or chair-based activities, enjoying a delicious home-cooked lunch prepared by our kitchen team, taking part in social activities such as games, crafts or music, and relaxing in our comfortable lounges or attractive gardens.

Our staff provide assistance with personal care needs such as washing, grooming and toileting as required. We also support with medication management during your visit if needed.

Additional services available include visits from our hair stylist who can provide haircuts, styling and pampering in our salon area. This is a popular addition to the day for many of our guests.

Our activities coordinator provides a varied programme designed to keep guests physically and mentally stimulated, while always ensuring activities are inclusive and enjoyable for all abilities. Social interaction is at the heart of our day care service.

Day care can be arranged for regular weekly visits or on a flexible basis depending on your needs. It's also an excellent way to experience life at Ridgegate Home if you're considering residential care in the future.

TESTIMONIALS

What people say about us...

My dad has lived at Ridgegate Home for just over a year now and I couldn't be happier with the level of care he receives. Ridgegate is a friendly family home and is a lovely place to visit at any time of the day. My dad suffers with both physical and mental health issues and I am grateful to the attentive staff who make sure he is included in the many home activities.
I have no hesitation in recommending Ridgegate to others.

Daughter of Resident

Respite care for mum went well and provided opportunity for a much needed break. All staff were helpful and courteous and mum was happy with her experience. She was able to get her hair done whilst there and made friends with many of the residents. Thanks for taking care of her!

My wife has been in Ridgegate for approximately for 2 years She initially arrived for respite care and then progressed to become a resident. She suffered from Lewy body dementia which affects her memory and physical movement. She is well looked after and seems to be very happy as much as you can tell. She interacts with the staff at all levels. I was well looked after and cared for by the dedicated and management team.
